I am a proud Israeli, a Tel Aviv native. I served in the Israeli Air Force and later did a BA degree in Economics and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA ) from Tel Aviv University. I arrived in Toronto with my husband, Mickey, in 1987, and we later had two girls born in Toronto. I work as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Ontario Government.  I love travelling to Israel and in the world and volunteering and supporting our community and Israel.

My vision

My vision is a strong Israeli community in Toronto, proud of both its Israeli and Jewish identity; an Israeli community which actively contributes to the growth and enrichment of the local Jewish community and the welfare of the State of Israel.  In recent years I have been active in the Jewish Federation as I believe that as Israelis living in the Diaspora, we can play a major role as a bridge between the Diaspora and Israel and act as ambassadors of Israel in the Jewish community and the general public.

I was the initiator and a member of the organizing committee of a conference "World Council of Israelis Abroad - Building Bridges to World Jewry and Israel” held in Toronto, with UJA support, in January 2011. I am chair of the Israeli identity program, a member of the Board of Directors at TanenbaumCHAT and sit on the Advisory Board of Kachol Lavan.  I write periodically to the Canadian Jewish News and Shalom Toronto on issues related mostly to the Israeli community.  I intend to continue the development and delivery of initiatives aimed at strengthening the Jewish-Israeli identity of Israelis in Toronto, and help build bridges between the Israeli community and the local Jewish community and Israel.
